Sorry I ain’t written in a while. But morale here is at an all-time low. It’s as if all hope has been zapped out of everyone. I imagine the stabbings and beatings will only get worse as summer comes up on me.

I have made a friend. His name is Jeremy. He is now 70 years old, has his health in bad shape. He takes a lot of medications and I don’t think he even knows where he is. He now walks around in a daze in this distant, uncaring place. Who knows how long he will last?

I can’t believe I am actually here. Listening to the cries at night. The screams. I am surrounded by men but feel like I am totally alone. I wish I was home with you, Ma. People are dying around me left and right. This is a war against us. Don’t they understand that deep inside we are all brothers? I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
